What better way to celebrate a couple of birthdays than packing up the crew and heading to Palm Springs for a weekend of sunshine, swimming, good food, and a whole lot of laughs?
This trip was extra special because we were celebrating our Pathways Social Club President, Donald C., for his birthday — AND getting an early start on celebrating Lane B.’s upcoming birthday! 🎉
We stayed at the beautiful Omni Rancho Las Palmas, where we spent plenty of time trying to beat the Palm Springs heat in the pool, floating around the lazy river, and flying down the water slides. And when we say it was hot… it was HOT, HOT, HOT! 🔥😂 Thankfully, we had plenty of water and pool time to keep us cool.
Of course, no Pathways trip would be complete without some great food. We had a buffet dinner at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino followed by a fun casino night, enjoyed dinner at Bongo Johnny’s, and made sure to save room for dessert at Gelato Granucci. 🍨
Some of our favorite moments weren’t even the big planned activities. We had breakfast in bed, ridiculous music-filled car rides, plenty of inside jokes, and the classic In-N-Out stops that have basically become a road-trip tradition. 🍔
We even made time for a stop at the giant Cabazon dinosaurs — because when there is a gigantic dinosaur available to climb, obviously you climb it! 🦖
More than anything, this weekend was about friendship, celebrating each other, getting out into the community, trying new things, and making memories together.
Happy Birthday to our President, Donald C., and an extra early Happy Birthday to Lane B.! 🎂🎉 We are so lucky to have both of you as such an important part of the Pathways family.
Palm Springs, you were ridiculously hot — but we had an absolute blast! 🌴☀️💦
