One of the hardest parts of building an amazing community is saying goodbye when life takes our members on new adventures. This week, we celebrated an incredible member of the Pathways Social Club family as Haley begins an exciting new chapter in Arizona.
While we’re sad to see her go, we’re even more excited to watch her continue to grow, thrive, and build the independent life she has worked so hard to achieve.
During her time with Pathways, Haley made an impact in so many different ways. She jumped in wherever she was needed, helping with transportation, recreation opportunities, exercise and wellness activities, and becoming an important part of our Pathways Pop Shop Job Training Program.
Behind the scenes, Haley was always willing to lend a hand, but she also stepped into the spotlight and absolutely shined. She became the star of several of her own live Pathways Pop Shop shows, bringing smiles, confidence, and authenticity that our community came to love. Watching her grow in confidence and develop new skills has been one of our greatest joys.
Before she headed off to Arizona, our Pathways family gathered for one last San Diego adventure together, enjoying a farewell dinner at one of Haley’s favorite local restaurants. It was the perfect way to celebrate everything she’s accomplished and all the exciting opportunities waiting for her.
But here’s the thing…
This isn’t goodbye.
It’s simply “see you later.”
At Pathways Social Club, we believe that community doesn’t end because someone moves. In fact, we see this as an opportunity to prove that distance doesn’t have to be a barrier—it can become something that brings us together in new and creative ways.
We’re already looking forward to Haley making online cameos during our live shows, joining virtual events, and helping us build new long-distance opportunities so she can continue being an important part of our Pathways family. We also can’t wait for visits—whether she’s back in sunny San Diego or we’re visiting her in Arizona!
